Unite, Educate, Prevent: Together for an HIV Free Generation

An awareness programme on the theme, "Unite, Educate, Prevent: Together for an HIV Free Generation" was organised today the 12th October, 2026 in the college auditorium by the Red Ribbon Club and IQAC, Shillong College in collaboration with Meghalaya AIDS Control Society (MACS), Shillong to create awareness among the students about HIV/AIDS and its prevention. The Resource Person for the day was Mr. Marcus Lyngkhoi from Manbha Foundation under MACS. He delivered on the various aspects of HIV/AIDS, how to prevent and also to avoid stigmatization of people affected by the same. The Club would like to express its sincere gratitude to the Principal of the college for his continuing support and motivation towards organizing such student-oriented programmes. The Club also thanks the Vice-Principals of the college for their support, the IQAC coordinator and students of the college for their active participation. The programme as a whole was a success.
