Shillong College has been accredited by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC).
About NAAC Accreditation
The National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) is an autonomous body established by the University Grants Commission (UGC) of India to assess and accredit institutions of higher education in the country. NAAC evaluates institutions on seven key criteria: Curricular Aspects, Teaching-Learning and Evaluation, Research, Innovations and Extension, Infrastructure and Learning Resources, Student Support and Progression, Governance, Leadership and Management, and Institutional Values and Best Practices.
Shillong College has a proud history of quality education and has been accredited by NAAC, reflecting our commitment to maintaining high standards of teaching, research, infrastructure, and governance. The accreditation process involves a rigorous self-study, peer team visit, and evaluation across all seven criteria.
Our accreditation journey demonstrates the institution's dedication to continuous quality improvement, transparency, and accountability in higher education — aligned with UGC's vision of quality assurance.
