Educational Tour to the Ever Living Museum, Mawshbuit

The Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat Cell, in collaboration with the Lariti Club of the Khasi Department, Shillong College organised an Educational Tour to the Ever Living Museum, Mawshbuit, on Friday, 6th November, 2026. The tour was organised as part of the academic initiative to promote the study of indigenous knowledge through Indian Knowledge Systems, with particular emphasis on cultural heritage, traditional practices, and ancestral wisdom of Meghalaya. During the visit, students had the opportunity to observe various collections of traditional artefacts, musical instruments, weapons, bamboo crafts, coins, and other objects representing the cultural heritage of the Khasi, Jaintia, and Garo communities. These collections offered valuable insights into the traditional lifestyles, indigenous skills, artistic expressions, customs, and knowledge practices passed down through generations. The EBSB Cell and the Lariti Club of the Khasi Department express their sincere gratitude to the Principal, the museum authorities, faculty members, and all those who contributed to the successful organisation of the educational tour.
