[A Three Year Integrated Degree Course]

Three Year Under-Graduate Course in Computer Applications (BCA) affiliated to the North Eastern Hill University, is an innovative project of the College to answer to an acutely felt need of the educational scenario of the North East. It is a professional course, which is featured along the patterns followed by the other institutions in the country as per the guidelines of A.I.C.T.E. The prior knowledge and exposure to Computer Science and its applications is not a pre-requisite for pursuing B.C.A. Course by the interested undergraduate students. However, a good academic background, analytical ability and an aptitude for the subject are essential requirements.The emphasis of the course is more on programming and software applications. It provides the students with a strong theoretical and practical foundation to enable them to pursue an academic areer in Computer Science and Applications in any recognized universities across the country. A well-equipped Computer Laboratory has been set up with 40 (forty) IBM PCs with an IBM Server in
networking etc.


Eligibility :
H.S.S.L.C., 12th Std. or Equivalent Examination with Mathematics and Computer (Application or Science)
as optional subjects with 50% marks in aggregate.


No. of Seats : 30 (Thirty). [One seat is reserved for the candidates from each N.E. State].


Admission Procedure :
Admission will be given in order of merit on a first come first serve basis or through an Entrance
Test. Cadidates applying for reserved seats will have to provide the proof of residence or recommendation from the Education
Department of their State.
